Chelna Desai is a freelance graphic designer based in
Bombay, India. She researched, wrote, photographed
and designed this volume after travelling to the ikat
textile regions of India. In addition to her professional
practice, she is currently engaged in documenting
graphic design in India, including both traditional and
contemporary signs, symbols, outdoor and indoor
graphics, packaging and displays.
